Wellbeing

Our school places a paramount emphasis on the wellbeing of our staff and we recognise fully that teaching is a demanding and challenging profession. We are committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment for all members of our school community, understanding the crucial role they play in shaping the future.

One key aspect of our commitment is the regular and open channels we provide for staff to share their feedback. We actively seek input to identify positive ways to alleviate workload and enhance overall wellbeing. Acknowledging the multifaceted challenges of the teaching profession, the leadership of the school proactively address issues to ensure our educators feel supported and valued.

In our pursuit of excellence, we are diligently working towards securing the Gold Standard in the School Impact Award. This prestigious recognition reflects our comprehensive and proactive approach to supporting staff, encompassing various facets of their professional lives.

The heart of our commitment lies in our staffroom, hailed as the hub of the school. It is a space where all staff members feel welcomed and supported, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. Regular social events, including meals out, engaging Escape Room challenges, and an annual 5km Wolf Run, provide opportunities for our staff to come together, enjoy each other's company, and build lasting connections outside the classroom. Within school too, we work to ensure all members of our school community are recognise their value - our popular ‘Secret Saints’ and our anonymous ‘Staff Shout Notifications’ are just two examples of this in action.

At our school, staff wellbeing is not just a policy; it is a lived reality embedded within our Catholic values. We believe that by prioritising the welfare of our staff, we create an environment that not only promotes professional growth but also ensures a positive and fulfilling experience for everyone involved in the education journey.
